The 40th international conference of the Stress and Anxiety Research Society (STAR) took place from the 9th to 12th of July, 2019, in Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands (Spain). Around 120 researchers from different countries met in order to exchange latest research findings and clinical applications on a wide range of stress and anxiety related phenomena.
Christian Heckel presented the findings from two research projects, in which he currently works together with german, israeli and italian colleagues. While two presentations focused on the different facets of students’ test anxiety, one presentation was about social anxiety among online dating users.
The photo below is from his presentation “The relationships between learners’ characteristics, test anxiety, and outcomes – Validating their proposed structure based on control-value theory”.
Parts of the current research will be included in the upcoming lectures (key competencies).
